Having read the first five Hetheridge books I bought Blue Christmas and I liked the story as such, but found it worth only three stars on two counts: 1. It was riddled with typos and grammatical errors ( due to careless editing - cut and paste? ). 2. The idiom was typically American, full of very un-British terms for police procedure, hospital staff etc., which would have been acceptable if the main character had been an ex-pat American, but both she and all the others were British. I did not remember this from the other books, so I would recommend more careful editing next time. Maybe American readers would not care but for me it spoiled the book a little. Pity!
