I am one of the few people who hadn't read this book, and I regret not picking it up sooner. SIX OF CROWS has a cast to never be forgotten, with a limping thief called Kaz Brekker (ownvoices!), a silent POC called Inej, a gambler with the name of Jesper, a curvy Grisha known as Nina Zenik (love her) and a sturdy hot fighter named Matthias.
Honestly, if the cast doesn't make you want to read this book, I don't know what will. The world building was sublime and I was delighted to find that my own country, the Netherlands, had been used as inspiration, along with other Northern lands. (Ketterdam sounds like a mix of Amsterdam and Rotterdam to me).
If you like morally gray characters, a seemingly impossible heist, an interesting magic system and a world like Northern Europe and Russia, then this book will suit you!
My only complaint is the prologue. I know why it was there, but it was a bit confusing and I could have gone without it. Nonetheless, I give this one 5 stars :)
