A tough read, lots of technical details and actually not a very compelling story line. The author, whose other books I loved, lost himself and the story in the mechanism ICS of near earth space flight and genetic engineering. Having finished it I still could not give the story line except in the most general way.
Neal Stephenson did it again. You'll want to keep reading this book even though it's more than 800 pages long. A wonderful story about the near future: what will humanity do when earth is threatened by the remains of the moon, after it exploded?
I've been a fan of Stephenson's for years, but he's outdone himself with this book. It is simply the best SciFi book I've ever read. The man is a genius.
