I live in a quiet neighborhood with what I assume are good people. After reading this delightful book I may have to reassess my opinion!

The walking club consists of four older women, residents of Gordonston, a suburb of Savannah, Georgia. The chief activities of this group are gossiping, drinking cocktails, and walking their dogs. This quote made me giggle,” …each lady with her afternoon cocktail inside a red plastic cup.”

Although the ladies seem to be harmless busy bodies, there is so much more to this story including murder. The author does a great job of drawing the reader into a complex tale with interwoven events.

The ending begs for a sequel. I hope author Duncan Whitehead is in the process of writing one. And finally, I adore the cover!
