Consciousness is always being born. Consciousness is always new. So it is like Nature. The poems belong to the presence of the moment, there is an authenticity in this. Poetry, in this sense, like nature, is alive. Poetry is an ongoing source stream, we cannot see where it was born, we were not present- only the writer of the poem is there- it is somewhere hidden underneath the earth- but it is there available for everyone who comes to it- we only see how it springs in our landscape, running wild into different places of our intimacy-terrain.
I believe there is a poet in all of us, you might not be writing it at the moment, you might not be expressing yourself through poetry, as it cannot be forced, but I tell you, it takes a poet to read it, too. Otherwise, you remain outside of it, even despising it, or getting so bored with it, wondering what others find in it.
The poet must awaken, the poet is your essence, is always within you, is a seed lying in the core of your ground, is a flower ready to open, you just need to recognise it. Poetry is the language of your soul.
What better way to awaken poetry, to recognise it, than with poetry itself, from another stream perhaps, but the source, is so intimate, so common to us all, the source is the same.
To bring inspiration to bring people, cultures, lands together, is what moves my soul.
