Positives:
- This thing is weighty and seems like it would be hard to cut through.
- Big and yellow so can be a theft deterrent (also hard to drive off without seeing it if you forget to take it off

Negatives:
- Alarm is way too sensitive and will go off without anything happening. At first I thought it was maybe the wind or something, but then I sat and watched it and it will just go off for no reason.
- The alarm will also turn off after about 10 seconds so that too is not very effective.
- No remote way of turning the alarm on or off so you have to sometimes endure the ear piercing alarm when you fumble around trying to get the key in the lock

Conclusion:
Buy a disk lock and then an alarm separately, don't bother with this as I pretty much always lock it with the alarm off...

Update:
My bike was stolen and I never heard the alarm go off and it certainly didn’t stop the thief

Motorcycle Easily Stolen Using This Oxford Boss Lock

My Son put this Oxford Boss Lock on his Yamaha WR125X while he popped in his friends house for a few minutes, when he came out the bike had gone.

Upon checking the CCTV footage it showed two hooded thieves breaking the stearing lock then bending down to this Oxford Boss lock and removing it in seconds without causing any damage to the lock what so ever.

The Bike was recovered the next day without any marks or damage to the front disc that it was attached to.
I still have the CCTV if the company that makes this lock would like to see it.

If you wanted the buy this lock at the time of this review it would set up back over £70..... I would personally would not buy another Oxford product ever again if their products can be removed so easily.

It is better thank the cheap disk locks what are easily breakable if the kids screw something in them from the side. I lost one disk lock like this, so I bought this one.

This is a big guy. For me it is a bit too big. I can not send trough on my brake disk on my Honda PCX, so I just attach it to the wheel.
14mm steel plus some rubber insulation on the shackle. Check if you have enough space for this.

This way I can turn the whell around if I arrange the lock on the wheel each turn, but I don't think that the kids can ride away. Well, they may tape it in a "safe" position, but it is time and that is what we try to get.

It can secure chains too as a padlock, so it may be used like that in the future.

The keys are some funny "smile" shape creatures. Keep the spares in a safe place, I don't think that you can make a copy easily.

My lock is not so sensitive, what I like.

The 100dB sounds good but only on paper. I was worry that it will blow my head off, but actually on a busy street it is bearly audible.
It beeps 2 short as a notice and after alarms for 10s with all the 100dB.
It would be nice if after the notice, no more movements, the lock would go back to sleep and not making any alarm.

If you do not want to use the alarm, you just put the shackle back on the other way around and it is disabled.

It is big and yellow, and hopefully looks too complicated to chop it off and they maybe skip your bike.
For me it is a bit like a toy or something. I guess it is storng but the yellow plastic cover just remind me to cheap plastic coated bike accessories.

I will update this review.

So ordered it Thursday morning and Friday evening it arrivered. No special delivery just a very good seller. Product as expected is built with quality and is a fantastic weight to put in your pocket and just pop it on if your just taking a trip into a shop or somewhere where you
Can see your bike. This will also be fitted at night so will prevent anyone from
1 wheeling the bike away
2 trying to take my bike due to the loud alarm more than likely weakening my whole road.

Very easy to use and is very recommendable.

Only issue is reminder cable had very small holes to look around the lock which would be annoying if you use it. Would just buy a bigger one for £2.

A little quite and a thief could easily quiten down the alarm by covering the speaker vent.

How do you obtain a dealers stamp for the extended warranty as there is no dealer to stamp it

However does look robust as a lock.

Great lock for CBF125

Bought this because of the size. Since the CBF125 has a small disc you can only fit 6-7mm disc locks but because there's enough space in the U lock I can fit this over the entire disc. Recommend this as alternative to small disc locks that can be pried open easily.

A great product easy to use and is a good deterrent protector.

The alarm is not that loud but is shrill and quickly irritating which is good. It is sensitive and any messing with the bike sets it off .
Also no need for unsightly yellow cables to remind you you have a disk lock on the alarm does that job too.
the size also meanes you can add another chain or bar to secure your bike to something else. I have also used it on my pushbike in Cambridge..

A great product if the plastic felt a little more robust that could only add to the appeal.. well worth the money.

First impressions; a very weighty heavy duty lock, bigger than what I thought. The large bright yellow lock hanging of your front disc is enough as a deterrent in itself, showing from 100 feet away it’s locked up. Definitely feels like it can withstand abuse and vandalism. You can choose to arm the lock with the alarm or not by inserting the u bar in either way. If you’re looking to buy this product mainly because of the alarm functionality, than I would suggest getting one of oxfords other locks which will be much louder. This alarm is noticeable but not ear piercing loud. However for me this is perfect.

Update I had a croc lock but fitted hand guards witch ment I couldn't use it anymore. This locked fitted a treat around the brake lever and is nicer to unlock than a croc lock. Added a star.

Can a lock be to big, maybe it can and this is it. It's a propper lump witch is good and bad. The alarm side of things is a bit of a pain and not very loud. It's handy it's not to loud as you can set it off easy wile locking and unlocking, or removing the cover ect.
