Guerilla Journalism Novel Documents a Russia Containing Multitudes15 november 2017 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
This collection of guerrilla journalism drawings and translated contextual explanations documents the emergence of political agency in peoples’ movements. It is important to note that at the time of this novel’s release, there were incredibly few spaces where these narratives were discussable. Divided into two sections, Invisible and Angry, Russia is defined as a nation state containing multitudes of culture and ethnicities. This peephole highlights communities formed and existing under the atrocities of nation-building and zooms in on defining political acts. The English translations at times failed to consider Blackness, and grasping emotional depth in quotes, but thankfully, they are present in Russian.

Russians Resist and Persist3 mei 2017 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
Vivid, simple drawings and narrative about Russians who resist the ever-tightening rule of Putin, from truckers who strike over new fees that will drive them out of business to the punk band Pussy Riot's defiant concert in a church and subsequent trial and convictions. There are stories of prostitutes, prisoners and demonstrators who try to save parks from developers. They persist in the face of brutal and corrupt police and restrictive laws and bad weather. It's both painful and uplifting to read. No one wins, but they keep trying.
