There's some good stuff here. I especially like the stress on "Brand Identity Statements" and his advice to "stop talking so much about yourself and focus on benefits to your fans." I'm not sure if these tips can be considered "Guerrilla" - even though far too many authors continue to ignore best marketing practices, these are still the essential, "normal" author building stuff you need to be doing.

If you're new to marketing or self-promtion this is a good place to start. Bob Baker might be a little unorthodox but his conversational style is easy to follow.
In this book, he provides an easy to understand approach to self-promotion and debunks a few urban myths about marketing. One of his key points is to have a marketing strategy so that you don't get bogged down in marketing tactics - know the big picture and don't get lost in the details. He reminds us that you can do it yourself and that you don't need to ask anybody for permission to talk about your work.

He rounds the book out with stories from his own journey.

I am a musician who follows and enjoys his valuable music promotion books. I am now writing my first book about putting on and promoting a show from start to finish. I found that most of the information in this book was geared to inspire and give confidence. It's good wisdom that works for any kind of endeavor. I was hoping for a bit more concrete step by step marketing "to do" list and resources. I would still recommend this for anyone starting out to get an overview of the current landscape, and some encouragement as well.
