Every Sales Manager needs this addition to their toolbox3 april 2019 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
I have been managing teams for almost 15 years and this book is fresh and relevant in today's sales market - an important tool for the sales manager, as well as sales pros. Just bought 5 more for our millennial aged sales team to help them understand the importance of business relationships and well-established processes that still bode well today. Also love that each chapter ends with "Rainmaker Principles" that summarize most important details. Have already started using some of the online tools offered in the book - their value to my business far and exceeds the 20 bucks I spent on the book.
An Interesting, Thoughtful Book with Great Stories and Actionable Leadership Ideas17 maart 2019 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
I found the real-life stories very interesting, with business situations I could relate to and "Rainmaker" Principles that did a great job of summarizing each chapter. David points out that people do things for their own reasons, not ours. He focuses on the fact that high-performing companies are those that invest in their people and that sales meetings are not conducted to ridicule and belittle weak performers. He explains why changing people's compensation is usually the straw that breaks the camel's back. A glaring revelation that David shares is that the job of a sales manager is not making sales; it is growing rainmakers and always to hire slow and fire fast. He points out that customers are always searching to learn more and are constantly looking for suppliers that can teach them and their people. He further relates that letting rainmakers know that they are valued by the company and their clients is key to retention. It is these, and other valuable thoughts, that fill this wonderful book. A great read for anyone who want to achieve a higher level of success in business. I highly recommend David's book.

A book of truths.1 juni 2019 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
I suspect almost every sales executive thinks he or she knows how to sell, and how to advise and direct other salespeople in their craft. If you are a manager responsible for the results of a sales team, do yourself a favor. Put your confidence aside and read this book. In clear and succinct language, Dave lays out the individual elements that are essential to building strong and resilient bridges to clients that can be travelled repeatedly for long term success, why these fundamentals are important, and how to teach or enhance the skills necessary to apply this logical blueprint for success in diverse business settings. Using fictional organization members with traits at cross-purposes to the goals of the team, Dave also describes methods of identifying and addressing some common pitfalls in team function and management. There is a lot of information in this little book of truths. Whether it is new to you, or simply serves as a reminder of why, and how, sales teams function most effectively, read Dave's book. You will be glad you did.
Great book translatable not only to sales leaders, but salespeople!29 april 2019 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
Reading this book gave me a fresh look on sales that I needed. I've been in sales since 2013 and stayed at one company for way too long. I was the classic rain barrel guy. Waiting with my mouth open for rain to come in (whereas in this book making it rain on your own). All the symptoms of a bad sales manager I had. Tweaking of the compensation plan every year "to make it better", sales managers relying mostly on reports w/ no real hands on experience of what the sales people are going through. And not building up champions around you to make your team better. Although i haven't moved into a managers role yet, I do feel I can take the principles highlighted in the book into my own working territory. Recruiting champions to my cause to help me grow my business, implement strategic planning and goal setting to earn my income the way I need to earn, and it's up to me to create the life I want to live for my family. A great book with solid principles that not only every sales manager, but salesperson needs to know.
Instantly impactful and its entertaining!19 april 2019 - Gepubliceerd op Amazon.com
As someone who has been in the sales game for the last 15 years I have come across a lot of books that are meant to drive sales. They claim to teach you “the way” but tend to lack the real life story that someone could actually relate to. When reading “Growing Rainmakers” I was instantly enthralled in the story line as well as the topics that those stories detailed. Each chapter is brought to life with characters, life like opinions and thoughtful concepts to become a “Rainmaker”. As a sales person and owner of a small business, this is a must read! It is not just people who are new to sales, but also for those who have been in the sales industry for a while and are in need of a better strategy.
