What is the true story behind the fabled lost continent of Atlantis, and what power did the Atlanteans wield? When archaeologist Sofia Perez unearths the remains of an Atlantean city, she unwittingly gives the Dominion the power to remake the world after its own design. From the depths of the Caribbean to the streets of Paris, to Japanese islands and beyond, Join former Navy SEALs turned treasure hunters Dane Maddock and "Bones" Bonebrake on a race to stop the Dominion from unleashing its greatest threat yet in the thrilling adventure, Atlantis!

Praise for David Wood and the Dane Maddock Adventures

“David Wood’s Atlantis hits all the marks that a blockbuster should. With rapid-fire pacing, Wood gives you perhaps his greatest Dane and Bones adventure yet with a tale that spins and reels out of control with action. With elements of mystery, lost technology and a mythical city, this book reads like vintage Clive Cussler. His best yet!”
Rick Jones, Author of The Crypts of Eden

“Flooded with action!”
Rick Chesler, author of Solar Island

"I like my thrillers with lots of explosions, global locations and a mystery where I learn something new. Wood delivers in this book as Dane Maddock, Bones and a new team race to find the remnants of Atlantis. Recommended as a fast paced, kick ass read." J.F. Penn, author of Desecration

“Dane and Bones.... Together they're unstoppable. Rip roaring action from start to finish. Wit and humor throughout. Just one question - how soon until the next one? Because I can't wait.” Graham Brown, author of Shadows of the Midnight Sun

“What an adventure! A great read that provides lots of action, and thoughtful insight as well, into strange realms that are sometimes best left unexplored.” Paul Kemprecos, author of Cool Blue Tomb and the NUMA Files

“A page-turning yarn blending high action, Biblical speculation, ancient secrets, and nasty creatures. Indiana Jones better watch his back!” Jeremy Robinson, author of SecondWorld

“With the thoroughly enjoyable way Mr. Wood has mixed speculative history with our modern day pursuit of truth, he has created a story that thrills and makes one think beyond the boundaries of mere fiction and enter the world of 'why not'?” David Lynn Golemon, Author of Ancients, Event, Legend, and Leviathan

“A twisty tale of adventure and intrigue that never lets up and never lets go!” Robert Masello, author of Bestiary and Blood and Ice

“Let there be no confusion: David Wood is the next Clive Cussler. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop until the last mystery plays out in the final line.” Edward G. Talbot, author of 2012: The Fifth World

5.0 van 5 sterren Bones and Maddock make a great team and as always 15 november 2016

I only recently discovered David Wood and have been steadily catching up and reading his novels. So far I'm loving his work. Bones and Maddock make a great team and as always, save the day. I'm a fan of James Rollins, James Patterson, Clive Cussler, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, Matthew Riley and Chris Kusneski. David Wood is going to be added to that list of my faves. I am reading his books for sheer entertainment. I find it hard to put a book down once it's lights out time but it's always easy to pick up where I left off and continue the adventure. I hope to read all his books and look forward to many more to come.

I just can't get enough of these books. Everyone of them tells a fantastic story. All are well written. I can hardly wait to finish the one I'm reading because I want to read the next one. Thank you David Wood for sharing all of these stories with us. Please keep writing. I don't want them to end.
5.0 van 5 sterren "Atlantis" is the latest installment in the series and delivers a great thriller read 11 juli 2014

I've been enjoying greatly the Dane Maddock adventures by David Wood for over a year now. "Atlantis" is the latest installment in the series and delivers a great thriller read.

The pace is just about perfect with just the right amount of over the top action followed by tense scenes in which the plot goes in wholly unexpected directions.

There are several remarkable things about the series overall. First is the sheer consistency of the primary characters. The relationship between Dane and his best friend, Bones, is depicted very well. The tone, voice and interactions are perfect. In addition the globe-trotting travel scenes and exotic locations are done very well. One almost feels as if they are standing in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower in Paris or diving off the coast of Japan. The bad guys are bad for all the right reasons. In "Atlantis" I was particularly impressed by the manner in which Wood ties together obscure clues from prior works into an awesome reveal. Finally the author makes it very clear, early on, that the setting is dangerous. Protagonists will be shot, stabbed, crushed, blown up, fall great distances, get nibbled upon by rabid velociraptors (okay, now I'm exaggerating...)in the pages. Definitely makes the stakes higher.

But most impressive to me, was the manner in which Wood digs deeper into Maddock and exposes his flaw for the reader to see. The ending of the book was surprisingly tender for a thriller work and concludes with an excellent cliffhanger, but not the kind one typically reads in such high-octane fare.

My only issue with the work has nothing to do with the story, thus doesn't affect my star ratings. There were a LOT of typos and similar formatting errors in the novel. That was not the case with the previous works, even the related novellas which were written. I'm not sure how much proof reading took place, but I think it could have used another couple of passes before being published.

Again, a minor point. "Atlantis" was a very entertaining read.

5.0 van 5 sterren Dane, Bones and Atlantis 4 februari 2014

Pretty damned good read.

This one starts off with an archeologist and her team making a big discovery. A discovery that includes a machine. A machine that shouldn't be at an ancient site. Sophia, the archeologist, doesn't want anyone to know just yet. Its an amazing find. Atlantis, or so she thinks.

One of the people on the dig has already let the backers know about the find. Sophie is upset about this because she's not sure what she's got and it will take loads of research to figure it out.

The next thing Sophia knows, the backers are at the site and are killing all of her workers. Everyone. they take the machine.

Sophia makes her escape by going up a chute. She takes a codex that she's found with her. A codex that will be the key to what she's found.

So begins one damned fine read.

We have Sophia, Dane, Bones, Tam, Mathew, Joel, Willis and the rest of the crew, an ancient machine that produces tsunami's and a race to beat Dominion to the real Atlantis.

We also get an old flame of Dane's, Jade, on scene and one big decision for Dane to make.

One good read and worth those five stars

5.0 van 5 sterren Dane Maddock at his best! 24 december 2013

Atlantis by David Wood is the BEST Dane Maddock book by far and I have loved them all. Atlantis is enriched with myths, legends, archaeology, action and adventure galore and even a wee bit of romance trouble.
This is the 1st adventure in which Dane, Bones and their team are working for Tam. It is a little uneasy giving up control but our heroes rise to the occasion and still fly by the seat of their pants at time.
In Atlantis, the group is working against the the US division of the Dominion. They have found a machine that is said to be from Atlantis and they use it to reek destruction of US cities.
This is not just another Atlantis story. It has a fresh twist and our very lovable Dane and Bones to the rescue.
I can't wait for the next book in the Dane Maddock Adventures as David Wood left the ending totally and completely unanswered. Well played, David.
If you haven't read a Dane Maddock Adventure, you have no idea what you are missing. A must read series.
