Life has been crazy since Tessa McCaide moved to Texas. She’s gone from being a normal-ish girl with visions to a super-powered werewolf. She’s fought off vampires and broken a nearly unbreakable curse. And she’s got a hot mate, Dastien Laurent, to keep her busy.

Things are looking up until the full moon ceremony rolls around. Before Tessa can strengthen her bond with Dastien, the local coven crashes the gates, demanding that Tessa—their heir apparent—be returned. If the pack wants to avoid a war with the witches, handing Tessa over is the only option.

Tessa doesn’t want to cause an all-out fight, but joining a dark-magic coven isn’t on her to-do list, especially if embracing her magic side means parting with Dastien. When the coven leader tries to control Tessa with dark-magic, Tessa realizes she has to dismantle the coven or prepare the pack for war. Either choice will change her life—and her world—forever.

3.0 van 5 sterren I really like this series, but 18 oktober 2014

You've been warned

The story picks up two days after the last book ended. We are FINALLY going to see Tessa and Dastien mated. NOPE the coven comes in and Tessa trying to stop the fight that is brewing promises to hold off the mating one month. REALLY???? I honestly almost stopped reading right there and when I got to the end and realized we had to wait a YEAR before the next one come out I wanted to throw my kindle. I feel like this story line is being really drawn out way too long.

Another YEAR before the next book with Tessa and Dastien comes out (book five), because book four is about Tessa's cousin Claudia (releases in May 2015).

I still really like the characters and the interactions with the cousins was great to see. I liked that Tessa is trying to connect with both sides of her heritage.

I am very interested in seeing where this series is going, but who knows how I will feel next year when the fifth book finally comes out.

3.0 van 5 sterren Good read, multiple mistakes 7 augustus 2016

I first want to start off with the dislikes.
There were multuple mistakes where the main girl would say something to someone and then she would say it again later on as if it was never said. I don't want to get to into that without spoiling sone parts.
I will add, when she is at the coven compound there is no way for her to contact anyone because there is no service, or internet. I don't know if the author forgot but the line said 'I texted my mom to bring more food'. Notice it says texted. There were a few of these 'forgotten' lines in the book.

Now as for the good.
I loved the story line, it kept me reading and wanting to know more about what was going to happen. I loved the seperation with her mate and the problems caused and solved. I think the author did a good job with some of the characters, but I did feel the friends characters were forgotten throughout most of the book.

If you have read the first 2 book I highly recommend reading the 3rd. Even with the mistakes I still enjoyed the story altogether.

I have really connected to this series for one reason or another. Alpha Divided is no different. Things heat up for Tessa and Dastien and not in the way we want as the witches stake their claim on Tessa. Once again I have blown through this book unable to get enough. The author's voice and her writing style makes this an easy read and that is what I'm attributing this to. War is coming and I for one can not wait to see what happens next as Tessa and those around her begin to find their way and understand what their calling will be.

*** I reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads***

I read Aileen Erin's two previous books in the Alpha Girl series and they've all been an enjoyable easy quick reads! The story really builds upon each book so I'd highly recommend reading the previous books in order to fully enjoy the series. So far, book #1, Alpha Girl, has been my favorite, but there's still time for that to change.

In the third book, Alpha Divided, pretty much picks up where Avoiding Alpha (book #2) left off. Tessa and Dastien attempt to finally do the bonding ceremony at the full moon, but before they complete it Luciana, the local coven leader, interrupts their ceremony. Tessa must go spend time at the local coven in order to avoid a war between them and her pack. However, the last thing she feels like doing is separating from her mate, Dastien, when she doesn't trust the coven leader one bit.

I've really enjoyed Aileen Erin's Alpha Girl series so far and I look forward to seeing how Tessa and Dastien's story continues! I'd give Alpha Divided 4 stars ****

I read the first three books in this series in a matter of days. There are some twists and turns that weren't entirely unexpected but at least it wasn't entirely predictable. There were a couple of times where it seemed obvious to me that our Alpha female should have done this or that, realized this or that, but she didn't. I supposes some of that was supposed to be because she didn't grow up in that world, but her abilities to see things others couldn't by touching things, her nightmares that seem like precognition, and her intuition should have been enough for her to avoid some of those mistakes, not that there were all that many.

******Spoiler alert******
And the whole being cut off from her mate...when she wanted to talk to him, why not hop the fence/barrier? I didn't get if it was her trying to follow the rules or it just never occured to her to do that or what the deal was. It was a bit disappointing that she never even thought about it though, it might have helped her avoid some other risks she took to make contact, etc.
************spoiler end************

There is also another question that's still somewhat unanswered for me, or maybe I missed it, but it has to do with being more Alpha than other wolves or not...I heard that phrase quite a few times throughout this book, about being "more alpha" and wolves having to listen or not listen because of almost seems like every wolf has some potential Alphaness in them but it varies, although I generally wouldn't think that's the case at all. Some of the reason, is because even in her arguments with some of the other jealous girls, it was said that she was more alpha then them, so I would have liked that whole thing to be a bit more sorted/explained. So while I had a few small complaints, I still enjoyed this book and series overall. I would recommend it to anybody who enjoys paranormal romance series, and would assume you read the first two books first...if that's the case, I will say that she comes a bit more into her Burma side in this book, though she still has a lot to learn.
